As stated above, camera-equipped drones are all the craze these days. They’re able to capture precious memories and showcase them in a whole new way. Aerial photos and videos have become an industry standard and will definitely pack a punch to your family picture collection.
You know the good old saying – you can’t put a price on memories. Well, drones definitely can. DJI Mavic 2 Pro is the bread and butter of mainstream aerial photography, but it costs a pretty penny too. Hubsan Zino, on the other hand, brings forth a balance between price and camera quality. The perfect balance, I dare say!
DJI Mavic 2 Pro
Let’s address the elephant in the room here – the one and only, DJI Mavic 2 Pro. The second-generation successor to one of the best drones of all time, the drone that kickstarted the foldable market boom and established itself as the number one selling drone of all time. DJI Mavic 2 Pro, does everything the original Mavic Pro did right, but builds up on some of the crucial factors and completes the all-around near-perfect foldable aerial photography platform.
With roughly half an hour of flight time thanks to improved ESCs and optimized propellers, DJI Mavic 2 Pro is bound to get the job done in one flight. If, however, one flight is not enough, you can easily get this thing bundled with a few extra batteries as well as necessary accessories like ND filters, microSD card, extra propellers and so forth.
Features-wise, DJI Mavi 2 Pro comes with everything you’d come to expect from a drone of this caliber, and then some. We’re talking ActiveTrack 2.0, HDR photos, waypoints, TapFly, and a ton more. After checking out one of the best camera drones out there, it’s time to stop things down a notch and check out a more affordable alternative. Meet Hubsan Zino, a pretty little bugger that sports an interesting, foldable design and powerful hardware underneath its hood.
For roughly $400, you’re getting a pacey model with 4K camera mounted on a 3-axis gimbal. This combo ensures smooth imaging, something that’s not as rare anymore at this price point. What is rare is the impressive 4 kilometers flight distance, ensuring your drone never goes out of range.
Battery duration is solid too. we’re talking about a 3S 3000mAh battery with roughly 20 to 22 minutes of flight time. It’s not as massive as that of DJI Mavic 2 Pro and other pricier drones but still provides great value for money. GPS is present too, allowing for precise drone movement and supporting smart features such as automatic return to home, failsafe on control loss, and a whole heap of autonomous flight modes. Hubsan has struck a fine balance with Zino, and the surge of popularity perfectly depicts that.
Black Friday: Long Flight Time Drones
Want a drone with excellent flight time, a drone that can stay in the air without needing a new battery pack every few minutes? Well, these days, it’s pretty easy to find such models. Plus, they aren’t even as expensive as they were a few years back.
Autel Robotics EVO and DJI Phantom 4 Pro pose as worthy candidates. Not only do they have excellent flight times on a single battery but they sport massive bundles with several batteries, allowing you to fly for an extended period of time without needing to charge stuff on the fly.
Autel Robotics EVO
Autel Robotic EVO is one of the most sophisticated mainstream drones you can find on the internet. It’s relatively small, foldable, portable, and features impressive hardware underneath the hud. It’s pretty too. Autel Robotics is known for the bright orange color which they had on their legendary X-Star, and they’ve successfully transitioned it to EVO as well.
4K UHD at smooth 60FPS is what you can expect from this drone’s camera. Nothing but smooth, crisp clear footage. The color accuracy is okay, there’s no tearing or frame skipping, something that usually bothers other (read cheaper) drones boasting with great visuals. As for the specs, EVO will not disappoint you thanks to its (up to) 7 kilometers of range and close to half an hour of battery life. Make that an hour and a half since you’re getting three batteries alongside this orange baddie.
However, the best thing about this little fella is that it features a generous bundle. This bundle does cost slightly more than the standalone version but brings forth a ton of utility and extra accessories you’re bound to use on your voyages. We’re talking three batteries, a landing pad, extra propellers, and a carrying backpack. Of course, the drone itself, its controller, charger, microSD cards, and all the supporting cables are bundled together as well.
DJI Phantom 4 Pro
Even though foldable drones have taken the drone market by storm, one big fella is still holding its ground in the high-end section of the market. As the title suggest, I’m referring to DJI Phantom 4 Pro. This gorgeous all-white drone packs quite the punch, with roughly 27 minutes of battery light and cca 7 kilometers of range. The latter, of course, depends on your location, but it’s what you’re likely to get if you’re in an open area with no interference or obstacles.
Talking about obstacles, DJI Phantom 4 Pro features 5-directional obstacle sensing and 4-directional obstacle avoidance. While these features do make it a beginner-friendly drone, I still wouldn’t recommend DJI Phantom 4 Pro to someone who has never flown a drone before.
If you opt for the Plus version, you’ll get the improved controller that sports DJI’s incredibly bright display that allows smartphone-free use. It’s more of a professional accessory than anything else as it does great with displaying the drone’s view even in direct sunlight.
Why would professionals use DJI Phantom 4 Pro? Well, the biggest reason is definitely the provided 20MP 4K camera featuring a giant 1-inch sensor. 3-axis gimbal is here too, ensuring smooth footage with no tearing or jelly effect creation.
Black Friday Deals: Drones for Kids
Let’s face it – kids can be clumsy sometimes. Most of the time, to be exact. In other words, expensive drones aren’t exactly the greatest gift choice. On the bright side, there are plenty of excellent choices that can be found on the cheap. Especially during Black Friday 2019 drone deals with some models expected to go for up to 50% off.
Altair AA108
Kids are going to love Altair AA108! It looks cool, it flies pretty fast, and it even has a small 720p camera which brings forth FPV capability. It’s insanely cheap too. For slightly over $100, you’re getting a pacey little bugger with a dedicated controller, and an extra battery. And that’s all you are going to need to get this little fella in the air. Oh, yes, you’ll also need a smartphone if you want to test its FPV.
Let’s be honest, the miniature 720p camera that comes integrated with Altair AA108 isn’t the greatest camera out there. And there’s really nothing wrong about that considering the price matches its quality. On the bright side, the two main specs are alright. Altair AA108 sports 10 minutes of flight time and approximately 100 meters of range. That’s more than enough to lose track of the drone, trust me…
Going back to the bundle, not only are you getting the drone itself, its dedicated controller and two batteries, but prop guards as well. The prop guards bring forth an extra layer of protection and are bound to keep Altair safe from reckless kids and their chaotic drone games.
Snaptain S5C
You thought Aerial AA108 looks cool? Wait till you see Snaptain S5C in person. This little bugger has an aggressive, alien-like design, bright LEDs and powerful brushed motors. It also packs two batteries, a controller, and prop guards, just like Altair AA108. However, Snaptain S5C is much cheaper, most likely going for around $50 during Black Friday 2019 drone deals.
And it packs quite a lot of features for such an affordable drone. One-touch takeoff, land, and return, voice control (although a bit too gimmicky) and 3D flips make up for a fine set. There aren’t any fancy things like GPS or obstacle sensors, but that’s not to be expected at this price point.
The camera of this little bugger is your typical entry-level WiFi FPV camera. You can’t expect glorious image quality, really. What you can expect is a weird-looking controller with awkwardly-positioned analogs. It’s something that’ll bother you at first, but you’ll get used to it soon enough. Overall, Snaptain S5C is a bit less powerful than Altair’s AA108. Roughly 50 to 80 meters of range and 6 to 7 minutes of flight time. Still, it’s not that bad for such an affordable price, right?
Black Friday: Drones for Beginners
Flying a drone for the first time can be difficult, frustrating, and outright chaotic. There are many things to watch out for, so people tend to overthink and mess everything up. Luckily, as drone tech continues to improve, we’ll get more and more safety features at lower price points.
This makes newer drones much easier to control than their older counterparts. Features such as GPS and a set of collision detection sensors make up for a well-versed anti-crashing system. However, it’s best to start off with more affordable models that possess the good old altitude hold. That’s all you need to have a crash-free first flight. Keep that in mind while browsing these Black Friday Drone Deals 2019.
Holy Stone HS120D
Here we have a minimalistic looking drone, seemingly another one of those darn DJI Phantom lookalikes. However, Holy Stone HS120D is not a copycat. It sports a glossy black finish and has clear Holy Stone decals on its body, ensuring everyone gets the fact this isn’t a DJI product.
Holy Stone HS120D is the name and this little drone features a full HD FPV-capable camera, GPS return to home and a bunch of additional smart features. They’re not going to be as accurate as that on pricier, high-end models, but they’re still there and you can play around with them as you’d like.
As for the specifications, HS120D does a fairly good job with roughly 15 to 18 minutes of flight time and around 200 to 300 meters of operating range. Not bad for a drone that costs less than $150, right? Best of all, it’s really simple and intuitive to use. The first speed, AKA beginners’ mode, has a slowed-down jaw and is a proper breeze to fly, making Holy Stone HS120D one of the best beginner-friendly drones on the market.
Altair AA300
Here we have another Altair drone. This time around, we’ll be talking about their mid-tier AA300 model. Priced around $150, this little bugger does an excellent job of being in the middle between toy drones for beginners and pricier high-end options.
The best thing about this little bugger is the onboard GPS, allowing it pitch-perfect stabilization and easier flight controlling. GPS alone makes it an amazing choice for beginners. But, that’s not all – Altair AA300 has a pretty solid FPV camera too. It shoots videos in 1080p, has a wide-angle lens, and works with a class 10 microSD card of up to 32GB of pure aerial memories.
Specifications are pretty sick too. Altair AA300 packs 10 to 15 minutes of flight time and its FPV transmission can reach roughly 100 meters. Make that 150 meters for controls, if you’re flying in line of sight. Overall, we’re talking about a great value for money here. Altair AA300 is an awesome beginner-friendly, GPS-equipped drone on the cheap!
Deals on: Selfie Drones
Do you love taking selfies? Well, drones can elevate your selfie game in no time… and quite literally. Conventional selfies are so 2018. It’s 2019, almost 2020, come to think of it, and dronies have taken over!
What are dronies? They’re basically selfies taken with a drone. Aerial selfies, to be more precise. Use Black Friday 2019 drone deals to your advantage and get yourself one of these two awesome dronie machines!
DJI Mavic Mini

Even with such a powerful set of specs, the best thing about this little bugger is its camera. Believe it or not, this miniature drone packs a 12MP sensor that shots buttery smooth 2.7K videos. Talk about future-proofing your selfies, huh?
Furthermore, DJI Mavic Mini also sports a whole fleet of DJI-standard smart features, including the all-time favorites like QuickShots, Dronies, Helix, Rocket and so on. It’s lightweight, easy to use, has great specs, and a camera that’s on par with the high-end models. What more could you want from such an affordable option?
Holy Stone HS720
Holy Stone’s premium foldable drone, HS720, is a more slightly more affordable DJI Mavic Mini. For roughly $100 less, Holy Stone HS720 brings a solid FHD camera. The images are crispy and the videos are relatively smooth, all thanks to the onboard anti-vibration system, not to be mistaken with a motorized gimbal, though.
Some of HS720’s features tell a high-end tale. I’m referring to the likes of GPS, return to home, and follow me. Even better, their accuracy is pretty good too, and that’s of crucial importance when taking that perfect selfie.
No worries, you’ll always have your eyes on the prize thanks to the onboard 5Ghz FPV system. The range goes up to 800ish meters, but that highly depends on where you’re located. Combine that with roughly 25 minutes of flight time and you’ll begin to understand why Holy Stone HS720 has made it onto our selfie drone list.
Highly Portable Foldable Drones
The last category we’ll be exploring today are highly portable drones that can fold up and take up no space at all. Yes, we already featured several foldable drones, but that’s only because they’ve taken over half of the market. The last two years have been great for foldable drones. They’ve pushed through the ranks and are now the most popular options.
The combination of excellent cameras, impeccable performance, and small size are what keeps driving foldable drones forward. If you like what you’ve seen with above-featured selfie drones but you weren’t impressed by their camera or performance, then these two baddies ought to catch your attention!
DJI Mavic Air
DJI Mavic is probably DJI’s best-ever drone in terms of price/performance ratio. At the moment, you can find DJI Mavic Air for roughly $850, but that price ought to drop when the first Black Friday 2019 drone deals start pouring in. And this isn’t the base version where you just get the drone. Nope, this $850 listing features a ton of accessories too, including batteries, ND filters, extra props, and a carrying case.

Parrot Anafi
Parrot Anafi is the last drone we’ll be talking about in this Black Friday 2019 special buying guide. Even though Parrot seems to be struggling out there, their Parrot Anafi is still a worthy contender in the foldable section of the drone market. And that’s quite a feat considering the number of direct competitors it has.
Parrot Anafi brings the usual high-end virtues in a compact, sleek-looking design. However, it does have one trick up its sleeve – the 180-degree vertical swivel camera capable of shooting 4K HDR footage. And that vertical swivel is all the craze here, allowing for unique shots that can’t be done with any other drone available on the market.
As for the specs, Anafi can fly for up to 25 minutes and reach up to 4 kilometers. The latter is all thanks to the new and improved SkyController 3 that brings forth excellent characteristics and sleek design. Overall, if you’re on the lookout for a potent foldable drone during this year’s Black Friday deals, don’t forget about Parrot Anafi!
